It appears that the original tailpiece was replaced at some point with an authentic Gibson part, however, the original is included with the guitar. The serial number is A-14252, and the features are consistent with a 1952 model, including the master tone control on the upper right bout and the dual volume controls in the traditional position, the Gibson banjo styled "bow tie" pearl inlay pattern, black painted back of headstock, Kluson-style tuning machines, two P-90 pickups, trapeze tailpiece with three raised parallelograms, two piece maple neck with contrast stripe, and crown peghead inlay. It also came with the cleaning cloth, extra original strings and the accessories pictured below and the Gibson hang tag with serial number. The guitar is in amazing condition for a 63 year old instrument, and it came with the original Lifton Luggage Company case.
